The Green Joker Poker European Deepstack Poker Championships took place in the Drogheda Poker Club from Saturday 2nd Feb to Sunday 10th February. The €1500 main event was won by Dara O'Kearney from Dublin, he took home €47,200 getting the best part of a deal between himself, Gary Clarke, Lloyd O'Farrell, Fran Egan and Barry Hand.
The festival was a resounding success attracting players from France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Hungary, The USA, England, Scotland and Wales as well as the great Irish contingent.
The festival kicked off with the €500+€50 Short handed No Limit holdem which attracted 97 players and was won by Peter Heslin netting him €13,600. Next up was the €500+€50 Pot Limit Omaha won by Rory Rees Brennan.
Other events were the €500+€50 No Limit holdem won by Ciaran Burke and the €200+€20 No Limit Holdem won by Alex Hall.
